African Association of Air and Space Law
Who are we?
The AADAS responds to a critical need of the continent: limited access to air and space law resources and experts.
We are the first pan-African collaborative platform promoting the development of air and space law through accessible information, specialized studies and sectoral support.
Located in several countries, AADAS brings together an active network of lawyers, engineers, academics and decision makers.
The African Association of Air and Space Law (AADAS) contributes to the development of air and space law in Africa, including through training, legal analysis, institutional cooperation and networking of actors in the sector.
The objectives of AADAS are to make the subjects of air and space law known to the public through the organization of seminars, forums, seminars and events.
the establishment of a space for sharing knowledge and skills, training and raising awareness among stakeholders in the sector, providing legal expertise to States and professionals, fostering institutional cooperation and contributing to the progressive harmonization of legal frameworks in Africa.

LADAS relies on an expert founding team committed to the development of the association and the support of new members.
Its governance is evolving at the rate of growth to ensure both continental leadership and action tailored to the realities of each member country.
The current governance of AADAS is as follows:
The African Association of Air and Space Law (AADAS) was founded in Paris on 4 February 2019, when the constitution of the association was signed by Dr.Arlette Tanga, MBA Ezome, Professor Philippe Delebecque.
The statutes were declared on February 6, 2019, registered on February 9, 2019 and published in the Official Journal of Associations (advertisement n° 1356, département 75 – Paris).
Originally established in Paris, the headquarters of AADAS was transferred in 2024 to Cameroon, in Efok, in order to strengthen the association's continental anchoring and bring its action closer to African realities.
The Regular General Assembly shall comprise all members of the Association who are regularly registered and up to date with their annual membership fees.
It shall meet at least once a year to decide on matters within its competence, under the conditions laid down in the Statute.
The members of the Executive Board shall be elected by the General Assembly for a term of two (2) years.
The Executive Board shall be responsible for the implementation of the decisions of the General Assembly and shall ensure the proper functioning of the Association in accordance with the statutes and rules of procedure.
AADAS volunteers put their expertise and expertise at the service of the association to help it achieve its objectives and thus contribute to the development of the legal framework governing air and space law in Africa.
